Warlords of Europe demo at Wizards Asylum
« on: March 10, 2010, 08:25:30 AM »
Cross-posting this here for Joe and to get it on the calendar.

March 20, 4 to 8 PM, at Wizards Asylum in Tulsa

Warlords of Europe
by Conquest Gaming

www.conquestgaming.com

From the looks of it, and the minimal reviews on BGG, it's a rather heavy medieval war game (Risk-ish perhaps), with a listed play time of 4 hours. Suggested retail from the site is $80, and it supposedly has some great production value. Probably has plenty of unit placement and territory selection strategy and an interesting dice system (roll either a d8, d10 or d12 depending on whatever). I'm not sure if our crowd is really the target for it, but anybody interested will definitely see me there.

Note: There may also be a drawing for a free game at this event.

I will be there, and if I can I will be dragging my little bro with me.

I'll probably come. How many sets are they bringing? (Wouldn't want to get there only to find that only the first 4 people to show up actually get to play.  :P )

First off, thanks Mike for the Cross-Post.

As far as how many sets they are bringing, that detail wasn't really brought up. When I go to WA tomorrow, I'll ask Jimmy for a contact more specific than just the homepage. Glad to see some interest in this, hope to see some people there next week.

*EDIT: I will actually NOT be there, due to me being a bad son and forgetting about my parent's birthday/anniversary party in St. Louis. Oops. Hopefully you'll be fine without me.*

Rescheduled due to snow. Event will now supposedly be April 3, conveniently coinciding with the regular meeting.
