Open Gaming - Saturday, March 6th
« on: February 27, 2010, 02:46:29 PM »
WHEN: roughly 6:00pm-10pm Saturday, 6 March 2010.

WHERE: Wizards Asylum in South Tulsa (it\'s in the strip mall behind Zios).

WHAT: Our standard first Saturday of the month gaming session at Wizards Asylum.

Come on by and play some games! Bring whatever you want, or just play games brought by others, there are usually plenty of choices. I\'m hoping for a big turnout and will be emailing registered users of the forums.

I just sent a (rare) bulk email to registered users of the site. I may raffle off a copy of Grand Dames of Small World this Saturday or any other little goodies I might have laying around.

I am planning on being there this Saturday; and with 1 to 3 others.

Could someone bring Arkham Horror? I\'ve been interested in trying it for a while. I would just buy it, but I\'m unemployed atm plus my usual game group has sort of imploded, so I probably wouldn\'t get much play out of it. :(

I have it but it needs alot of set up space and time.  There isn't much table space on Saturdays at WA.

I'm not sure if I will be able to make this one.  Something came up today and I'm not sure if I will have a sitter for Saturday.

We had a great turnout -- Matt counted us at 18!

I saw Kachina, World of Warcraft BG, Tobago, Ivanhoe, San Marco, Condottiere and Stone Age, and there were at least a couple more I can't remember.

Et tu Rodney?

Or did the other Matthew lose at something? His gaming record is much better than mine!

How did the WOW boardgame turn out?

It was neat to see Condotierre on the table. Made me re-read Iliad (the game rules, not the book - gack! Similar game but different enough...) . One of these days I'm going to give Condotierre another chance. Looks like a brilliant game with 4+ players.

Glad you could make the session.

Sorry I didn't see this post earlier.

Something Wicked scratches the Arkham itch and it plays in about 90-120 minutes for the first go round.

Arkham is good, definitely playable at a WA session given early set up and good time management/teaching.
